At the beginning of 2006 ProfMedia acquired 2x2 TV channel, a free-to-air broadcaster in Moscow, the Moscow region and St. Petersburg. From 2008 "2x2" broadcasts throughout Russia.

2x2 hit the market as Russia's first animation channel in April, 2007. Channel"s target audience - people aged 11-34, so-called kidults (kids+adults), grown-up kids, who live in large cities and strive for TV that will entertain, not bother or teach.
