Central Partnership
The Central Partnership motion picture company was founded in 1996. It includes the Central Partnership studio, the distributor of the film and television rights named Central Partnership Sales House. Central Partnership owns one of Russia’s largest libraries of rights comprising more than 1,400 feature films and 4,000 hours of TV series products. Since January 2009, it has been the official distributor of the products released by the Paramount Pictures International in Russia and the CIS countries (except Ukraine).
Central Partnership is the largest television and film distributor. The most successful commercial releases of last years include such films as Van Helsing, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Amelie, Asterix et Obelix: Mission Cleopatra, The Passion of the Christ, Apocalypse, Shadow Fighting, Wolfhound from the Family of Grey Dogs, and Paragraph 78. In 2008, they have created a special CP Classic product line for distribution of the independent motion pictures, where Central Partnership has traditionally strong positions.
In 2002, the Company began independent production of feature films. Today, Central Partnership is the leader in the area of film production. Among its films are such national blockbusters as the Wolfhound, Shadow Fighting, Street Racers and films for a discerning audience, for example Mermaid and I Am Staying. Central Partnership also makes one of the most high-rated and high-quality televised series, such as Master and Margarita, Liquidation, and Apostle. Central Partnership actively promotes Russian cinema on the international markets, including the CIS markets.
