Radio Broadcasting

ProfMedia entered the radio market in 2000 when the holding took over Avtoradio, a leading Moscow-based FM radio station.  The holding launched a second Moscow radio station, Energy in 2003. At that time Prof-Media Broadcasting Corporation (VKPM) was set up to enhance the efficiency of managing the holding’s burgeoning radio business. The VKPM radio station has experienced considerable growth: in September 2005, Humor FM Radio Station was lanched and since Jule 2007 the group’s fourth radio station - Radio Alla – has broadcasted on 98.8 FM frequency.

According to TNS Gallup Media, VKPM’s share of the total listener audience is 12% (AQH Share). Avtoradio and Energy retained their leadership positions in their age groups. VKPM’s share of the advertising market is higher: 20%.
