Television
In 2006 ProfMedia holding completed an important stage of its development, having upgraded the most part of its assets and almost completely reshaping the company. One of the most important parts of this process was the company"s entry into the television broadcasting market, since the TV segment accounts for half of the entire Russian advertising market.
Around the beginning of the year, the holding acquired a 100% stake in television channel 2X2. Beginning on April 1, 2007 this channel offers animated viewing for a target audience ranging from 11-34 years of age.
In 2006 the holding acquired TV3, a leading private commercial broadcaster.
In summer 2007 ProfMedia acquired MTV Russia and VH1 Russia musical television channels. Thus making ProfMedia a leading player on the Russia TV market.
