Rambler Media today announces the launch of MyRambler, www.myrambler.ru, a new site that enables users to customize their personal internet homepage according to their own interests and preferences.

Thanks to MyRambler, users gain easy and intuitive access to the World’s largest library of widgets also known as plug-ins or modules. These features include email; RSS newsfeeds; social networks; search; photos; video downloads (Rambler Vision); various informers (weather, currency exchange rates, traffic jams etc); Russian news (Lenta.ru) and top Russian media and news content all customizable by individual users on one page. All elements of the page update automatically. Once customized, users can access their MyRambler page from any internet enabled device including mobile phones.
MyRambler is an open platform not only for users, but also for developers and owners of internet sites. With the help of a dedicated system, available at www.eco.myrambler.ru, developers can freely and easily create their own widgets and upload them to MyRambler, strengthening relations between users and developers of online content.

Mark Opzoomer, Rambler’s Chief Executive Officer, commented: “MyRambler gives users full control over their daily digital lives and access to Russia’s best online content and search services—all from a single, customizable page. The launch reflects our strategy to build Russia’s most popular and open gateway to the web. We are delighted to be the exclusive Russian partner of Netvibes, the leading widget and personalised startpage platform on the web.”

“As a really open and transparent widget platform, MyRambler offers a tailored and innovative approach to all Russian internet users. It is a new communication and advertising channel that opens new opportunities for content providers to interact with their audience“ said Arkady Moreynis, Chief Product Officer of Rambler.

Netvibes is one of the Web’s largest widget distributors, serving more than half a billion widgets per month.
