Cinema Park is expanding its chain of modern multi-screen cinemas

17.05.2010

The chain opened a seven-screen cinema in the Marmelad Shopping Center in Vologda. Cinema Park theatres are distinguished by their particular designer approach to interior design. The new theatre in Vologda is no exception – the interior is laid out in an unusual style: guests unexpectedly enter into… an exotic oceanic island. Passing through the airplane entrance, guests find themselves in the central foyer, which is decorated with landscapes reminiscent of the work of Paul Gauguin. The unusual design is the work of Italian architect Saura Sermengi and will certainly appeal to all the audiences in harsh northern Vologda.

Three halls are equipped with the 3D technology. One of the special features of a show at the Cinema Park chain is the ‘hovering screens’. They are fitted in two halls at the new theatre. The construction of the screens allows an increase in the scope of the visual impression, so that audiences can be utterly drawn into the magical world of cinema.
The theatre has a capacity of 1,100, with a total area of 3,500 square meters. The foyer has an interactive plasma screen, via which guests can see more information about the films. The premier hall has a capacity of 276.

The theatre offers specially equipped places for guests with disabilities, including equipment for the hearing impaired. The quality of projection in the new theatre is guaranteed by certificates of an international level. All halls are equipped with modern climate control systems, and there are specially-equipped smoking areas.
On the day of the grand opening of the new multiplex, Vologda residents watched concerts, participated in competitions, took pictures, and danced! Cinema Park gave all guests the opportunity to visit the new theatre for free – more than 100 free tickets for the best films were won through quizzes and games.
